What is Suno MP3 Download?
Suno MP3 Download is an export endpoint that turns a finished Suno clip into a compressed audio file you can hand straight to listeners. It takes the clip_id from an earlier Suno job (a generated song, an extension, a cover, a remaster) and returns a hosted 192 kbps file. MP3 is the default; set format to m4a when you want an AAC-based M4A container instead. The completed task gives you audio_url and format. Use this endpoint when the file is going to a player, a feed, or a chat thread. When the file is going into an editor, the WAV download is the better fit.
Key features of Suno MP3 Download
Four details cover what the endpoint does.
MP3 or M4A from one model ID
Both formats sit behind suno-ai/mp3. Leave format out for MP3, or set it to m4a. No separate endpoint to call for each container.
192 kbps from the streaming copy
The file is encoded at 192 kbps from the streaming copy of the clip. That is a sensible bitrate for music playback in apps, browsers, and podcast players.
Format echoed in the result
The completed task returns audio_url and format. Your code can set the file extension and MIME type from the response instead of tracking what it requested.
Works on any clip ID you own
Pass a clip_id from music generation, extend, cover, add vocals, remaster, or any other Suno job that returns clips. The export does not change the audio content.
Best for
In-app playback
Serve generated songs to a web or mobile player as MP3, or as M4A for iOS apps that prefer AAC.
Sharing and previews
Send a client or collaborator a small file they can play on any device without opening a DAW.
Podcast and streaming pipelines
Feed generated intros, beds, and background tracks into a podcast host or streaming workflow that expects MP3.
Messaging and social posts
Attach a song to a chat message or audio post where file size limits rule out WAV.
Lightweight archives
Keep a playable MP3 copy of every clip next to the WAV files your editors use.
Use cases
Wire a "Download MP3" button into a song generator so users get a playable file the moment their track finishes. Build a background-music feature for a mobile app that requests M4A for iOS clients and MP3 for everything else, using the format field from the result to set the content type. Run a nightly job that exports every new clip as MP3 for a review playlist. If the track needs editing before it ships, export it with the Suno WAV Download API instead, and if it needs a visual for social platforms, render it with the Suno Music Video API.
API examples
The MP3 and M4A export is documented at docs.unifically.com/models/audio/suno/wav, alongside the other Suno exports.
curl -X POST https://api.unifically.com/v1/tasks \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
-d '{
"model": "suno-ai/mp3",
"input": {
"clip_id": "1901ec96-72c6-4c26-8e56-91028ca6070d",
"format": "m4a"
}
}'
The response contains a task_id. Poll GET /v1/tasks/<task_id> or set a callback_url on the request to receive audio_url and format when the file is ready.

An audio_url pointing at the hosted file and a format field that echoes what you requested, so your handler can name or store the file correctly without guessing.
Pick M4A for iOS apps, Apple-focused workflows, and messaging apps that handle AAC well. Pick MP3 when you need the file to play everywhere, including older players, browsers, and podcast hosts.
It is currently not billed. Check the pricing page for the live rate, since export pricing can change.
WAV gives an uncompressed 48 kHz file for editing in a DAW or video editor. MP3 and M4A give a compressed file that is much smaller and ready to play, which suits delivery to listeners. Both come from the same streaming copy of the clip.
