What is Suno Enhance Prompt?
Suno Enhance Prompt is a helper that runs before generation. Most people describe a sound in one or two words, and a short style field gives the music model little to work with. This endpoint takes that short description in prompt and returns a fuller version of it, also in prompt, which you then pass as tags to Suno music generation in custom mode. It does not touch audio and does not need a clip_id, so it is the one Suno endpoint you can call before any song exists. It runs as a normal task, so you submit it and read the result the same way as every other Suno request.
Key features of Suno Enhance Prompt
Three things define how it fits into a pipeline.
One input field
Send a short style description in prompt. There are no other parameters, so it drops into any form or chat flow with one line of code.
Text back, ready for tags
The finished task returns prompt with the enhanced description. Pass it straight into the tags field of a custom-mode music generation request.
Runs before any song exists
Unlike the Suno edits, it needs no clip_id. Call it while the user is still typing their idea, then generate with the result.
Best for
One-word genre inputs
Expand "lofi", "synthwave" or "drill" into a description with tempo, instruments and mood before the song is generated.
Users who are not musicians
Let people describe a vibe in their own words and turn it into the kind of style text the music model responds to.
Consistent prompts across a team
Run every style idea through the same step so prompts in a shared tool follow one level of detail.
Simple-mode interfaces
Keep a single short input box in your UI and fill in the detailed style text on the backend.
Reviewing style text before generation
Show the enhanced text to the user so they can edit it before any generation runs.
Use cases
A music app can call Enhance Prompt when a user types a short genre into a style box, show the expanded text in an editable field, and send the approved version as tags to Suno music generation. A chatbot that makes songs can run the user's description through the endpoint first so every request it sends has a full style line. A content tool that produces background tracks in bulk can enhance one seed word per campaign and reuse that text for every track in the batch.

It rewrites a short style description into a richer one. You send something like "lofi" in prompt, and the finished task returns prompt with a longer description of the sound.
No. It is a text-in, text-out helper. No song is made and no clip_id is needed. You use the result in a separate generation request.
Pass it as tags in a Suno music generation request in custom mode. That field holds the genre and style of the song.
