What is Suno Get Full Song?

Suno Get Full Song is the step that follows Extend. When you extend a clip from a continue_at point, the clip Extend returns holds only the new segment, not the part that came before it. Get Full Song takes the clip_id of that extended clip and returns one continuous song, with the original section and the extension joined in order. It has a single parameter, and the finished task returns the result in the same clips format as music generation, so the joined track gets its own ID. If your app lets users make songs longer than one generation, this is the call that turns a set of pieces into a track people can actually play from start to finish.

Key features of Suno Get Full Song

Small endpoint, specific job.

Turns an extension into a whole track

Extend gives you the new segment only. Get Full Song joins it with the earlier part so the result plays as one song.

One input

Send the clip_id returned by Extend. There is nothing else to set, which makes it easy to run automatically after every extension.

Returns a new clip

The joined song comes back in the standard clips format with its own ID. The extended segment and the original clip are kept.

Fits repeated extensions

Extend, join, and extend the joined song again. Each round leaves you with one complete version instead of a pile of segments.

Best for

Long-form tracks

Build a song past the length of a single generation by extending it and joining after each step.

Complete exports

Hand users a single file of the whole song instead of an extension that starts mid-track.

Multi-part compositions

Add a bridge, a second verse or an outro with Extend, then join so the structure plays in one pass.

Full-length background music

Stretch an instrumental to the length a video, game level or stream segment needs, then join it into one clip.

Finishing before stems or remaster

Join first so later steps like stem extraction or remastering work on the whole song.

Use cases

A song-writing app can call the Suno Extend API when a user asks for "more", then call Get Full Song on the result in the same flow, so the user only ever sees the complete track. A background-music service can extend an instrumental until it reaches the length of a client's video and join it once at the end. A production pipeline can join the finished song and then send it to the Suno Stems API to split vocals and instrumental for mixing.

Extend returns only the newly generated segment. To get one clip that plays from the start of the original through the end of the extension, send the extended clip's ID to Get Full Song.

The ID of the extended clip, the one returned by Extend. Do not send the ID of the original clip you extended.

Only clip_id. There is no title, crossfade or range setting on this endpoint.

A finished task with clips in the same format as music generation. The joined song is a new clip with its own ID, which you can download, edit or extend again.

Yes. A common loop is extend, join, extend the joined song again, and join once more. That way you always hold one complete version of the track.
