Is there a Suno API, and what does it return?
Suno itself has not opened a self-serve API. On July 1, 2026 its Chief Product Officer, Jack Brody, said the company was “exploring a developer API” and would “start with a curated group of partners” via an intake form (reported by Digital Music News), and platform.suno.com now shows a sign-in page for API accounts with no public docs, pricing or signup as of October 19, 2026. The Suno API on this page is UnificAlly's: one key, pay per request, the same v6 models. The song below is a real output from it, generated on October 19, 2026 in Simple mode and billed $0.06 for the request (which returned two clips; this is the first).
“Ship It at 2AM” (2:50, chirp-hawk)
- Prompt:
- Upbeat indie pop song about shipping code at 2am, bright female vocals, catchy chorus, synth bass and live drums
- Settings:
- mv chirp-hawk (v6), custom false (Simple mode), title "Ship It at 2AM"
- What came back:
- Full verse, pre-chorus, chorus, bridge and outro with lyrics the model wrote from the one-line brief, sung female vocals, and a clip_id you can pass straight to Cover, Extend or Stems. The same clip is the source for the jazz cover on the Suno Cover page.
Suno API on UnificAlly vs Suno's partner API vs unofficial wrappers
The three things a “suno api” search turns up, compared on what you can do with them today.
| Suno API on UnificAlly | Suno partner API (platform.suno.com) | Unofficial cookie wrappers (e.g. gcui-art/suno-api) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Access today | Sign up, copy a key, call it | Intake form; Suno picks a curated set of partners | Your own Suno login cookie plus a captcha solver |
| Docs and pricing public | Yes | No, as of Oct 2026 | Community README |
| Billing | $0.06 per music request, pay per use, no subscription | Not published | Your Suno subscription credits |
| Models | v6 (chirp-hawk), v6 Wild, v6 Mini, custom models | Not published | Whatever the web app exposes |
| Covers, extend, stems, WAV | Yes, each its own endpoint | Songs, covers and mashups named on platform.suno.com | Partial, breaks when the web app changes |
| Stability | Versioned REST API, status page | Unknown | Session-based, unofficial |
FAQ
Suno API FAQ
The Suno API on UnificAlly turns a text brief into full songs with vocals and instrumentation through one REST API key, and the same key covers covers, extend, stems, lyrics and WAV export. You choose Simple or Custom mode, set an optional title and instrumental flag, and pick a Chirp v6 model.
On UnificAlly, Suno Music is listed at $0.06 per generation. Stems, lyrics, and WAV export use separate line items in the pricing table.
Not a self-serve one. In July 2026 Suno announced it was exploring a developer API, starting with a curated group of partners through an intake form, and platform.suno.com now shows a sign-in page for API accounts, but as of October 19, 2026 Suno publishes no API docs, pricing or open signup. UnificAlly provides Suno access today through its own REST API: you sign up, top up a balance, and call the generation, cover, extend, stems, and WAV endpoints documented here, billed per generation at $0.06 per request with no subscription.
Suno does not offer a free public API key, but you can try Suno free on UnificAlly: new accounts start with a $0.50 signup balance, enough for several full songs at $0.06 each. After that you pay per generation with no monthly fee, and the playground on this page runs the same models as the API.
Create a UnificAlly account and copy the API key from the dashboard. That single key calls Suno music, cover, extend, stems, lyrics and WAV export plus every other model on the platform; there is no Suno account, cookie or captcha solver involved, which is what breaks the unofficial wrappers on GitHub.
Two. Every completed music task returns two full clips for the same brief, each with its own clip_id, audio_url and cover image, and one request is billed once at $0.06. The sample on this page is clip one of a two-clip task.
Yes. It is two plain HTTP steps: POST https://api.unifically.com/v1/tasks with your key and the input, then GET /v1/tasks/{task_id} until status is completed, or pass a callback_url and let the finished song be posted to your webhook. Any tool with an HTTP request node can run it.
You can generate sung songs with accompaniment, or turn on make instrumental for backing only. Custom mode supports a longer prompt plus style and negative tags. For spoken voice-overs rather than songs, the ElevenLabs API covers text to speech, dialogue and sound effects on the same key.
Use the Suno WAV Download API: send the clip ID of any song generated here and the task returns a hosted 48 kHz 16-bit WAV file for DAWs, video editors and distribution, with no monthly download cap. Suno MP3 Download gives a smaller file for listeners, and Suno Stems splits a clip into separate tracks before export.
Three Suno v6 models: chirp-hawk (v6, the default), chirp-hawk-wild (v6 Wild, for more experimental output) and chirp-goose (v6 Mini, faster and lighter). Suno retired every model before v6, so older ids such as chirp-v4 or chirp-fenix are still accepted but generate on chirp-hawk.
Yes. Enable Custom mode and put your lyric or scenario text in the prompt field, then add style tags and negative tags as needed.
