Suno pricing: what Free, Pro and Premier buy, and what the API costs
Suno pricing in 2026: credits per plan, the new 20 and 60 monthly download limits, commercial rights, and Suno API cost from $0.06 per request.
Suno pricing changed shape on September 3, 2026. The three plans still hand out credits, and credits still buy a lot of generations. What changed is that every plan now caps how many songs you can download, and for most people that cap matters more to the real cost than the credit count. This guide covers what each plan includes, how many songs the credits buy, the new download limits, commercial rights, and what the same work costs through the pay-per-request Suno API on UnificAlly.
TL;DR: Suno has three plans: Free (50 credits a day, v6 Mini only, no commercial rights), Pro (2,500 credits a month, 20 downloads a month) and Premier (10,000 credits a month, 60 downloads a month, Suno Studio). Five credits make one song, so Pro credits cover about 500 songs, and you can keep 20 of them. Suno has no self-serve public API. Through UnificAlly, one
suno-ai/musicrequest costs $0.06, returns two songs with audio URLs, and has no monthly download limit or subscription. If you download more than a handful of songs a month, or your product hands audio files to users, pay per request.
Suno pricing plans at a glance
These are Suno's own plan terms as listed on suno.com/pricing and in its September 2026 downloads policy update, checked on October 14, 2026. Suno shows current monthly and annual prices on that page, and annual billing is discounted.
| Free | Pro | Premier | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Credits | 50 per day | 2,500 per month | 10,000 per month |
| Songs the credits cover (about 5 credits each) | ~10 a day | ~500 a month | ~2,000 a month |
| Downloads | Up to 7 lifetime trial downloads | 20 per month | 60 per month (no limit inside Suno Studio) |
| Models | v6 Mini | v6, v6 Wild | v6, v6 Wild |

| Stem separation | No | 2 types | 3 types |
| Suno Studio | No | No | Yes |
| Extra credits and downloads | Not available | Can be bought | Can be bought |
Monthly credits do not roll over to the next month. Purchased top-up credits do not expire, but you need an active subscription to spend them.
How much does Suno cost per song?
On credits alone, Suno looks generous. Suno's help center says the Free plan's 50 daily credits make 10 songs, which puts one song at five credits. Each generation produces two songs, so one generation spends ten.
| Plan | Credits | Songs generated | Songs you can download |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 50 a day | ~10 a day | 7, once |
| Pro | 2,500 a month | ~500 a month | 20 a month |
| Premier | 10,000 a month | ~2,000 a month | 60 a month |
A Pro subscriber can generate around 500 songs a month and take 20 of them out of Suno. Unused downloads do not carry over, and the limit applies to songs made before September 3 as well. Suno says more downloads can be bought, but at the time of writing it had not published what they cost.
Several plan guides ranking for "suno pricing" still compare credits only, which made sense before September. If you make music in the app and finish a few tracks a month, Pro is a fair deal and the cap will rarely bite. If you need the files, for a game, an app, a video pipeline or a client, the subscription is priced for the wrong job. You would be paying for hundreds of songs you can hear but cannot export.
Suno Pro plan vs Suno Premier
Downloads and Studio access are what separate the two.
- The Suno Pro plan fits a songwriter who generates freely and keeps the best 20 songs a month. It includes commercial rights on what you download, the v6 and v6 Wild models, two stem separation types and a priority queue of up to 10 songs at once.
- Suno Premier makes sense when you need Suno Studio, the browser DAW, or more than 20 downloads. It raises the cap to 60 a month, and Premier users working inside Studio have no download limit. Our Suno Studio 2.0 breakdown covers MIDI, the chat bar and what Studio is good for.
Neither plan includes API access. Suno does not offer a self-serve public API, so a subscription cannot be called from code.
Suno commercial use and licensing
Under the terms that took effect September 3, 2026, songs you download on a paid plan are yours to use commercially or personally. Free trial downloads are personal use only. Commercial use on Suno therefore needs two things: a paid plan, and a download slot.
On UnificAlly, commercial use of outputs is allowed and follows the model provider's own terms. Building a product on the API is allowed too.
Suno API pricing on UnificAlly
The Suno API on UnificAlly bills each request from a prepaid balance. There is no subscription, no monthly allowance and no download counter. A finished task returns audio URLs for both generated songs, and the balance does not expire.
| What you run | Model ID | Our price |
|---|---|---|
| Generate music (two songs per request) | suno-ai/music | $0.06 |
Generate with an inline custom model (chirp-custom) | suno-ai/music | $0.64 |
| Split vocals and instrumental | suno-ai/stems | $0.12 |
| Split every detected stem | suno-ai/stems-all | $0.30 |
| Export a clip as WAV | suno-ai/wav | $0 |
So 20 finished songs, the whole monthly Pro download allowance, take 10 requests at $0.06 each. The $0.50 signup balance covers 8 generation requests, which is two songs each, before you top up.
All three v6 models are available from the first request: chirp-hawk (v6), chirp-hawk-wild (v6 Wild) and chirp-goose (v6 Mini). Requests that still send an older id such as chirp-v4 or chirp-fenix keep working and generate on chirp-hawk, because Suno retired every model before v6.
A chirp-custom request trains a temporary model on 6 to 24 of your reference tracks, uses it for that one generation and then discards it. You pay the custom rate on each request that sends the custom_model object.
How to call the Suno API
Every Suno job uses the same task endpoint. This request makes two instrumental songs for $0.06:
curl -X POST https://api.unifically.com/v1/tasks \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $UNIFICALLY_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"model": "suno-ai/music",
"input": {
"mv": "chirp-hawk",
"custom": false,
"gpt_description_prompt": "Warm analog synth instrumental, steady mid-tempo drums, simple bass motif, no vocals",
"make_instrumental": true,
"title": "Warm Circuit"
}
}'
Poll GET /v1/tasks/{task_id} until the task completes. Each song in the output has an id. That is the clip_id every follow-up operation takes, so keep it. Custom mode swaps gpt_description_prompt for your own lyrics in prompt plus style tags.
You can run the same request without code in the Suno music generator playground.

Where each one lives:
- Change an existing song: Suno Extend continues a track from a chosen point, Suno Cover re-records it in a new style, Suno Replace Section rewrites one part, and Suno Remaster re-renders it on a newer model.
- Add or remove parts: Suno Add Vocals, Suno Add Instrumental, and the Suno stem splitter for two-part or full multitrack separation.
- Get the files out: Suno WAV export and Suno MP3 export both take a
clip_idfrom a completed generation. - Write and design: the Suno lyrics generator, Suno sound effects and Suno Voice for your own singing voice.
Is the subscription or the API cheaper for you?
| You are | Better fit |
|---|---|
| A hobbyist making songs to listen to in the app | Suno Free |
| A songwriter keeping up to 20 finished songs a month | Suno Pro |
| A producer who wants Suno Studio and its DAW tools | Suno Premier |
| A developer, app or pipeline that needs the audio files | Suno API, pay per request |
| A team that wants stems or WAV for many songs | Suno API, pay per request |
Our call: the credit numbers on Suno's pricing page are the wrong thing to compare. Since September 3 the download limit is the price, and for anyone who exports more than 20 songs a month the plans stop making sense. If you mostly listen inside Suno, a plan is the better deal. If the song has to leave Suno, pay per request.
If you are weighing Suno against open weights you can run yourself, our MiniMax Music 3.0 vs Suno comparison covers quality, licensing and when self-hosting pays off.
Suno Pricing 2026 FAQ
How much does Suno cost?
Suno has a Free plan with 50 credits a day and two paid plans: Pro with 2,500 credits a month and Premier with 10,000. Suno lists current monthly and annual prices on suno.com/pricing. The Suno API on UnificAlly has no plan at all: one music request costs $0.06 and returns two songs.
How many credits does a Suno song use?
About five credits per song. One generation produces two songs and uses ten credits, which is why the Free plan's 50 daily credits make about 10 songs.
What is the Suno download limit?
Since September 3, 2026, Free accounts get up to 7 lifetime trial downloads, Pro gets 20 downloads a month and Premier gets 60. Premier users working in Suno Studio have no download limit. The limits cover songs made before that date too, and unused downloads do not roll over.
Can I use Suno songs commercially?
Yes, if you download them on a paid Pro or Premier plan. Songs downloaded with Free trial downloads are for personal use only.
Is Suno free?
Suno's Free plan lets you generate about 10 songs a day on the v6 Mini model, but it has no commercial rights and only trial downloads. On UnificAlly, the free balance every new account gets covers 8 music requests before you pay anything.
Does a Suno subscription include API access?
No. Suno does not offer a self-serve public API, and Pro or Premier credits cannot be spent from code. The Suno API on UnificAlly is billed separately per request at $0.06 for music generation.
How much does the Suno API cost?
A suno-ai/music request costs $0.06 and returns two songs. Two-part stems cost $0.12, the full stem split costs $0.30, and WAV export costs $0. A request with an inline custom model costs $0.64.
What will change this page
Suno said extra downloads will be sold but had not priced them when we checked. We will add that price when Suno publishes it, and update the plan table if the credit allowances, download limits or model access change. Our own rates in this post come from the live price list, so they update on their own.
