Seedance 2.5 is live on UnificAlly from $0.129 per second with a reference video or $0.129/sec without one at 480p. It generates 4–30 second videos, accepts up to 50 mixed reference assets, and outputs 480p, 720p, or 1080p with native audio. A 10-second text-to-video request costs $1.29 at 480p or $2.80 at 720p.

TL;DR: Use Seedance 2.5 when one task must run longer than 15 seconds or the brief needs more than nine images, three videos, or three audio files. Current pricing is $0.129/sec at 480p and $0.28/sec at 720p without a reference video; with one, it is $0.129/sec and $0.28/sec. The live API goes up to 1080p. For cheaper short drafts, or 4K output on 2.0 Pro, use Seedance 2.0.

What can Seedance 2.5 generate?

The live bytedance/seedance-2.5 route supports:

  • Duration: any whole second from 4 through 30.
  • Resolution: 480p, 720p, or 1080p. A 480p draft can also be rendered natively in 1080p from the same task.
  • Aspect ratios: adaptive, 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 9:16, 16:9, or 21:9.
  • Reference images: up to 30.
  • Reference videos: up to 10, with 30 seconds combined input duration.
  • Reference audio: up to 10, with 30 seconds combined input duration.
  • Total references: up to 50 assets.
  • Native audio: enabled by default.
  • Prompt references: [Image1], [Video1], and [Audio1].

The API covers text-to-video, first/last-frame generation, multimodal-reference generation, video editing, and video extension. Audio-only reference requests are supported; Seedance 2.0 requires an image or video reference alongside audio.

Is Seedance 2.5 available now?

Yes. Seedance 2.5 is callable through UnificAlly as bytedance/seedance-2.5. The earlier version of this article described a closed beta and expected rollout. That information is obsolete and was replaced on August 14, 2026 with the live schema and rate card.

The public route does not expose every capability discussed before launch. In particular, it currently goes up to 1080p, not 4K, and it does not expose a dedicated region-editing parameter. Base production decisions on the callable schema rather than pre-launch claims.

When should you choose Seedance 2.5?

Choose Seedance 2.5 when:

  • One continuous generation must run for 16–30 seconds.
  • The prompt needs more than nine images, three videos, or three audio files.
  • Reference video or audio duration exceeds roughly 15 seconds.
  • An audio-only reference request is part of the workflow.
  • You prefer one route rather than a Mini, Fast, and Pro ladder.

Choose Seedance 2.0 when:

  • The video is 15 seconds or shorter and entry cost matters.
  • You need 4K output, which 2.0 Pro renders.
  • A 480p text-to-video draft should cost $0.0395/sec on Seedance 2.0 Mini instead of $0.129/sec.
  • Existing prompts already use @Image1, @Video1, and @Audio1 syntax.

  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "model": "bytedance/seedance-2.5",
    "input": {
      "prompt": "A slow tracking shot through a rainy night market, natural crowd ambience, one continuous take",
      "duration": 12,
      "resolution": "720p",
      "aspect_ratio": "16:9",
      "generate_audio": true
